Signs, Part 4 - "I'd like to "stick" it to ya!"
DATE: 12/26/2007 20:06:00 / MOOD: horny

A lot of people who glance over my site (just once) are usually "jeep-crazy" just like me. Whatever it takes to generate business - call it  "shameless self promotion". So what's up with the subject line, ya ask? I'll tell ya!

I have 2 web stores. One does really well and the other one doesn't do $h!t. Of the two, the one that does well caters mostly to us weekend outdoors people. We hunt, fish, camp, hike, play paintball, and go offroadin'.

So, a lot of my business is derived from sellin' these oval decals which look exactly like those oval "euro" decals you see over in Europe. But instead of 2-3 letters representing your country of origin, all of my oval euro decals have some witty (if not, smartass) quotes on them. I can tell ya right now, you aren't gonna find these decals just anywhere - but at my store!

Aside from sellin' decals, I also sell T-shirts, too. If ya read my 3-part trilogy on Signs, then consider this a continuation of the same.

On the back of my Jeep Cherokees, I have several goofy & funny decals adorning my rear window. I've just created a new "Warning / Extremely Horny" decal, that's also available on T-shirts, too!

For a look at the decal version, go here:

For a look at the Men's T-shirt version, go here:

And for a look at the Ladie's T-Shirt version, go here:

Don't be afraid to browse around the store. You might see the other shirts that I created that show 2 totally different versions of the Department of Transportation's "Park & Ride" commuter road sign. It's definitely NOT what the D.O.T. had in mind for the public!!!

Signs, Part 3 - The revenge of "Park & Ride"
DATE: 12/26/2007 19:56:17 / MOOD: horny

If ya had a chance to check out the first "Park & Ride" shirt design at my other web store on http://www.CafePress.com/core860_store , you would have noticed that it only targeted the Jeep Cherokee XJ / Jeep Commanche MJ crowd.

Now, I didn't leave out the "other" guys either. I've just completed the same "Park & Ride" design, but with a Jeep CJ / Jeep Wrangler TJ / Jeep Liberty KJ / Jeep Compass design, too.

Please be patient while I try to work out something for all you Jeep Wrangler YJ fans out there. Happy Wheelin' !!!!

"Redneck Band-Aids"
DATE: 12/17/2007 20:40:53 / MOOD: full of life

What's a "Redneck Band-Aid" ?

You mean you don't have any clue what a "redneck band-aid" is? A "redneck band-aid" is a funny decal used to cover up a scuff, a scratch, a dent, or a hole in your 4x4's sheetmetal. These can be especially handy if you don't want your wife/girlfriend/ or significant other to find out. This might explain your whereabouts that other weekend. I have a variety of funny and sometimes humorous decals sprinkled throughout my shop. Who knows, you just might the perfect excuse for covering up that mysterious gouge that appeared there magically over the weekend!!!

Link: http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.196171073

Don't let that gouge or dent gather rust. Cover it up with one of my decals! It just might save your ass someday! Trust me, you can thank me later.

Park & Ride ????
DATE: 11/25/2007 14:26:05 / MOOD: horny

Ever drive by a commuter lot and notice the green DOT sign "Park & Ride" ?

I drive by at least 3 on the way to work every day. Over the course of a week it just dawned on me: why not make a design of the "Park & Ride" sign, but change out the lil' commuter car and put in a Jeep design instead?

So, I went to work with my trusty Photoshop 2.0 (I know, b-a-s-i-c) and made a "adult humor T-shirt" of just that: "Park & Ride (XJ / MJ Style)". This design is a hoot !

Signs
DATE: 11/24/2007 10:00:50 / MOOD: feel like wheelin

One of my co-workers the other day had asked me, "where do you get your ideas or quotes from?" when creating new decals for my 2nd web store at http://www.CafePress.com/core 860_store .

I told him, "Just look at the signs."

"The signs?? What are you talking about?" , he said.

I said, "The road signs. From there, you can make up anything you want."

I have several different kinds of photoshop programs on my computer that I can take whatever image I've downloaded off the internet, "alter" or "tweak" it, and it'll will come up looking like somebody had made it to look that way.

I've actually begun to apply some of these designs on shirts already, along with my quotes on the back. The front shows the road sign, and on the back of the shirt (along the shoulder line) appears the quote that explains what the road sign means. All of my designs have an outdoors "feel" to them. Some have "adult humor" thrown in for a bit of silliness.

What the heck is a ''Redneck Cellphone''?
DATE: 09/01/2007 12:49:23 / MOOD: horny

A "redneck cellphone" is what I call a Citizen's Band Radio, or a CB radio, for short. Used for years, by the over-the-road trucking community, the CB radio has been a trucker's sole companion on many a long trip. Fast forward to the present, CB radios can be found in every vehicle from small cars to big bus-like RVs. It's an excellent communication device that requires no special permits or licenses to obtain, nor any special lingos to learn and master. Everyone should have one of these if you're doing any kind of long distance driving - whether you're going to your favorite campground, or across the country, here are some points to consider if you need proof.

 # 1: Better Reception. In some areas of the country, poor reception is unavoidable. Whether it be terrain, or area location, at some point in time your cellphone's (no matter how cheap or expensive it was) reception is key when you need a good signal. If you can't get a good signal (or any signal for that matter), your cellphone's signal will be useless in the wild. Your cellphone's antenna signal relies on bouncing off a nearby tower. If there's no tower nearby, your signal is gonna suffer. A CB antenna today ranges from 24" high to over 8' tall. The taller the antenna, the stronger your send / receive signal will be.  CB Radios today come in 2 forms - mobile (aka in-car) and handheld. Most people opt for the in-car unit while travelling. If you're hiking in the woods, I'd stick with a set of walkie-talkie radios, as most today range from 2 miles to 20 miles. On a good day, a CB radio's signal reception can be heard for almost 50 miles away (or more).

 # 2: No Special Permits / Contracts. You don't need to be locked in to a special contract. Unlike most cellular providers out there, you don't need to sign any kind of contract to use a CB radio. Your usage of this unit won't expire after a year. And best of all, you need'nt be concerned with having to gain "extra minutes", because they aren't any minutes to expire. You can use it day or night, weekdays or weekends, 365 days a year, or only when you travel.

 # 3: Traffic Info. Truckers have been using these since the 1960s for chatting to one another, for police speed trap locations, for accident info, or just plain road directions. It's one of the best "tools" used for finding that lost exit, traffic-jamming accident, or a decent 24 hour roadside diner. And really now, who knows these roads better, than a bunch of daily drivin' truckers who travel these roads on a regular basis.

 # 4: 4x4 Trail Rides. There are times when even the weather will not cooperate on a trail ride. There is nothing worse than someone who is "ill- equipped", or unprepared, and doesn't have (or own) a CB radio. If it's raining, sleeting, or snowing out, you sure aren't going to roll down your window every single time you, or your spotter, needs to say something. Having a CB can mean having more fun while out on the trail. A private conversation can be very entertaining if everybody listens in or joins in on the fun.

 # 5: Your "Handle", "Call Sign", or Nickname.  Everyone has a nickname or "handle". When using the CB, it's easier to use your handle or nickname, than to just use your given name. There may be more than one John, Robert, or James out there, so be sure to pick out a good handle to use - just don't use somebody else's handle. Movies like "Top Gun" and "Smokey & the Bandit" are good examples of "handles" or "call signs". Your handle, call sign, or nickname should be a good description of you or what you're known for. It can be witty, funny, or unique to your own personal taste.

Those were just some of the points I'd consider if you think you didn't need a CB radio. I have one in both of my Jeep Cherokees. While I don't use them all the time, I feel a little safer knowing that I have something better than a cellphone just in case the reception is poor. I leave mine off until I encounter a road hazard. Then, I switch it on to find out what happened, found out just how long it's been, and to find an alternate route around the accident.

Until then, check out my selection of mobile CB radios and GPS units, that I have offered. I'm sure you'll find something that you can use to your benefit. Maybe one day, we'll meet each other out on the trail.              &nb sp;                   Jeff

New Oval (Euro) Decals for my Jeepin Brothers & Sisters!
DATE: 08/26/2007 10:06:14 / MOOD: happy

I've just updated my new webstore with some decals that are perfect for us Jeep fans. They're in the shape of the traditional oval "euro" sticker, but instead of having 2 or 3 letters *, they feature "tag lines" that are popular with today's Jeeper.

Normally, these euro stickers would have 2-3 letters that signify your country. Instead, I've replaced them with what YOU, the adventurous Jeeper, would really rather be doing.   Here are some examples:

"Git 'er Muddy" http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.161686558

"Keep your 'Dubs', I roll on 33s !" http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.161686545

"Keep your 'Dubs', I roll on Super Swampers!" http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.161686568

What's that?  You don't care for the Euro design?  That's ok, I also have them in a rectangular form, too. Try these:

"I'd rather be Rock Crawling!" (Rectangular Stickers)http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.162088413

"I STILL stomp in mud puddles!" http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.162088401

"My KJ is evil.....it must be punished!" http://www.cafepress.com/core860_store.161686565

All stickers are pre-priced (so why change it?).
