I got the new carb installed along with the new intake gasket... Took the top off and went for a long ride... Finally I am sorta jeepin', but not off roading yet... Later this week or this weekend I will be putting on the hardware for the convertible soft top... Next projects to take on with it is to get the lift kit bought and installed along with new rims and tires (thinking 33's) View Entry

Well, my jeep went into the garage yesterday and after 60 bux of adjustments and hooking up wires correctly... I ordered a new carb and an intake gasket because that is the only way to fix the stalling and loss of power it has been doing since I got it... Got a good deal on the weber carb on the plus side! Should have it mechanically sound within 2 weeks. Downside is my mechanic says the steering box is a bit funny so I may need to replace that soon. Once it is running smooth then I will take off the hard top and put on the best top convertible soft top I bought for it last week. Feels like I am finally getting some where with it... View Entry

Well, I have to soon take pictures of the jeep so I can keep track of how it looks from beginning to end. I just bought the first item for it and that is a best top convertible soft top. I am still in debate over how high to lift it up when I get to that part. I have made a final decision on how I want it painted, but will have to wait on painting until I take care of some rust issues on the fenders. I am taking it into the garage this week to get the stalling and power loss issues dealt with once and for all. I have checked vacuum, changed o2 sensor, gave it a tune up, reset timing, adjusted the choke/idle; nothing has stopped it. View Entry |
