So after 14 months of boredom and heat I finally made it home! Travel was uneventful, but guess who had to be the COT at the welcome home ceremony. In case you can't figure it out-ME! Still, it's great to be home and with my family. Already had one night of debauchery at a local watering hole, thanks to the total strangers who bought me all those Jeager-bombs. Here it is the end of October and we have 6 inches of fresh snow! Can't wait to drive to Texas. View Entry

Do you know what really sucks about being deployed? It's not the threat of death, that's over played. It's the total lack of women, booze and wheeling. Seriously, I wouldn't want to live here, but if I could have a cold brew it would be a little easier to bear. View Entry

So I am on month 12 of 15 for this deployment. It's killing me. So freaking boring. I'd love to have my jeep out here, the roads may be dangerous, but I wouldn't be using them much. View Entry |
