Louvers for a TJ

I live in central California and it gets supper hot!! I was wondering what some people think about hood louvers. Do they work? How many vents do I need? what is to many vents? Does color matter.

Howdy Yawl! I just got back from Omaha, NE. I am sorry I did not respond quickly to my comments because I did not have access to a computer for a week. I will post some picks soon. I had a great time. I visited my friend from grad school that is now the assistant director of student affairs at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE. Her and her husband both r great friends of mine and despite the distance, we still stay in contact. We went to the Omaha Zoo, which was awesome. Saw a Steven Curtis Chapmen concert in Fremont and hit up the local bars/honky tonks. Now I’m back and will respond soon, Thanks for the overwhelming invites to the site. Talk 2 ya latter.
