New Jeep
DATE: 11/25/2008 23:13:14 / MOOD: horny
I have found a Jeep to sacrifice to get mine running. I will be trading my 78 Chevy LUV to get a 72 CJ5. I will be using the 304, 3 speed tranny and transfer case to put in my 75 CJ5. I should be able to use everything and just change it over from one Jeep to the other. This will be the first time I have taken on a job this big in the automotive world. Anyone have any tips or anything that would help me out on this big job? I plan on taking the fenders, hood, grill, and windshield off, to make sure nothing is in my way. Hopefully all goes as planned and I have myself a running Jeep before Christmas. View Entry
1975 CJ5 350 conversion
DATE: 10/01/2008 19:33:55 / MOOD: other
I just bought my 1975 CJ5. It has no engine, tranny, or T-case. I want to put a V8 in it, but need more information on the procedure. I'm planning on putting a Chevy 350 in it. I've heard of it being done, and 350s seem to be easier to come by and more inexpensive to build. I would like to know if anyone has any links or web addresses that have the information I need, parts I need, or any conversion kits. I would also like to know of any transmissions and Transfer case that will go with the 350. Thanks in advance. View Entry
