I'm an Assistant Chief, Fire Fighter/EMT (20+ years). I'm also the proud Dad to 4 little girls (pray for me). Growing up on a farm I learned how to drive at an early age on an old Int. 4x4 truck and my Dad's tractors. I've owned 4 Jeeps. I started with an '84 CJ-8, and a '84 XJ. I currently have a pair of '87 YJs that I am combining into one as a project.

I bought my 1st YJ in the fall of '08. I got it pretty cheap knowing that it needed ALLOT of work. The odom. shows 201k! The miles and the years of NY road salt have taken their toll.

My 13 year old daughter misses trail rides in my old CJ so, she wants to help fix up the Wrangler... I love this kid!

Found a BIG rust hole in the frame... oh yeah, I said dirty words! Lets see, it won't pass NYS inspection so I guess it's still good for parts, huh?

Damn I'm lucky! A week or two after I find that the frame on my 1st YJ is shot, I find another solid '87 YJ! It's an'87 YJ 258cid, 5 speed with 91k on the meter. This thing has a solid body and frame. My engine will drop right in!

The YJ is finally on the road. It's bone stock with puny tires and there are still a few bugs to work out, but hey... it's a project, right?

June 2011 - The engine is running better now. I have added an HEI, E3 Plugs, and hope to get my Lock-Right Locker in the rear-end soon. I have also added some emergency lights, front bumper and a siren, so far. Tires are now 235, at least.
