Certified Arborist (www.nortontreeservice.com) during April-November, fuel oil delivery driver November- April. I met VTJeepGirl through Jeeping and we got married in a Jeep themed wedding last summer. We have several Jeeps (mostly projects) including a 1945 Willys MB.
'83 CJ5. I have a '79 Orville(Meyers) steel hardtop on it. The 258 broke so I swapped in a 4.0 with fuel injection. It still has the T176 & Dana 300. CenterForce II clutch. I swapped in a pair of '73 axles(dana 44 & 30) with 3.73 gears. My jeep came from Willie Racine Jeep with no radio in '83 and still doesn't have one, although I bought a'79 CJ5 dash that has a factory AMC AM/FM 8 Track radio!! I may put that in it and yes I still have 8 tracks.
Planning to fix up the '89 Lerado with parts we have already. It's got a 258 and TF999 auto tranny. The plan is to use the used 3" lift out of my wifes '93, 31 x 10.50 Mud Kings on factory rims and either our spare set of 4.10 axles or re-gear the current 3.07 axles with 3.55 gears and an ARB air locker in the front.We're planning on doing the Nutter By-Pass and install the TFI ignition upgrade components left over from my CJ.
UPDATE: We bought a rolled '95 XJ from AjStarr. The plan is to use the 4.0/AW4 in the Lerado. We will be using the XJ's engine wiring. 1945 Willys MB Date of Delivery 2/15/1945, 1946 CJ2A Pinto powered project,1984 CJ7 almost ready to go back together, 1955 Willys P/U hauler project. Lots of projects....MJS = Multiple Jeep Syndrome
