Tom Girl, Plain Jane Jeepr chick, just wanting to learn the ropes. I enjoy the great outdoors, hanging with my kiddos, working on my Maxxwell. I'd rather be outside working on Maxxwell than inside shopping at a mall or hanging around a bunch of women. But I do love art museums, & art, & creating art & taking pictures. My Jeep has taught me how to deal with my life & health issues. Or any hard situation that comes my way
1992 YJ, Old school. I have a long story behind him. I got my Maxxwell in Febuary this year(08). We found him in a barn from an ad on the internet, fell in love with him then & there from the picture. I watched him for a month & nobody bought him. So We went out one flooding, kick butt raining Texas night & looked at him in the jet black of night. I fell in love from minute one. Well it took 2 days to strip the insides of rats nest & chicken feed & hay( he was used as a hunting jeep) & nasty carpet. Well that same month I was told I had the early stages, but they caught it in time Thyroid Cancer & TCV, which isnt good. I had my thyroid removed in November, 3 months earlier. I have always wanted a Jeep since I was 13, remember the color, smells, sounds & that was it, I was hooked! Well that day the doctor told me I had cancer, which I refuse to believe it! My Maxxwell is proof that God still answeres prayers, even after 20 plus years of holding onto the prayer of owning a jeep one day & God still answers prayers even thou we are out acting like heathens! So the day I heard the news I sat in Maxxwell crying to God & grabbing the steering wheel so hard I thought I was going to break it. I reminded God, like he needs to be reminded, that He answered my prayers 20 plus years after falling in love with my Jeep, that I ask him to answer my prayers of not having Cancer. They told me I needed a butt load of treatment & radiation, but I cant afford that. My Maxxwell just inst my Jeep he is my reminder to be strong, hold onto faith & keep believing. Its been almost a year & still no follow up treatmnet, who can afford it, not me. So I spend what little money I have trying to tweak my Maxxwell & build him up. One day I want to have him a street legal rock crawler, because he is my daily driver. I need to replace axles, rebuild motor, srings, suspension, paint job, and a few other small things. So I spend my time focusing on him instead of worring & being scared about my health. So there you have it, the story of my MAxxwell.
What not is there to want. Just him to be centerfold model of the year in a 4x4 magazine. Axles, spring over job, better suspension, paint job, winch, exoskeloton, rebuilt motor[IMG]http://i260.
