ok well the first of the problems is the noise i hear after i have drivin my truck and turned it off, i hear a very loud bubbling noise coming from what i believe is my coolant. [im not sure of this but it sounds like the noise is coming from there or maybe the radiator] it will go on for a good 5 or 10 minutes.. and second when my truck has been run for a while and im just sitting at a stop light or stoped somewhere it will make a knocking sound and shake really bad, and im not talking the average shaking that a jeep makes, but one that makes it feel like my car is gonna stall out. and third [im sure i know the cause of this i just want a second opinioun] every time i start my car it seems like my starter is taking longer and longer to start. today it took it a good 10 secounds before it really even started up. i have a feeling its my starter, but is there a posibality that it could be my battery? cause i have an old battery in there now and i just havent really gotten time to go get a new one or to even see it this one is still good or not.. and also this is simple, the guy who had the jeep before me added the sound bar and never attached the light so that when the door opens the top light will come on, how do i go about making that babeing thing work.. cause i dont feel like breaking anything.. which its a jeep, so be prepared to Just Empty Every Pocket = jeep. but if you know whats going on or have som info on wtf my jeep is bein a bastard please do let me know.. email me back at jeepinphoto@yahoo.com i will get it directly to my iphone and i will be able to return the email asap! thanks |

at leasst change thermostat, we run into them alot they aint ment too last like you would think aftermarket radiator caps same way.make sure radiator is flushed out if aint non of the above the water pump can be slowly givvin up . most part stores can test the starter issue by testin the battery under a load

Have the battery checked out, the computer operated Jeep will not run right on a low battery. If it is over 4 yrs old, I would dump it. Check the alternator and see if it is charging, when running you should be about 14 volts on the meter. As for the bubbling, I agree with the other Jeep owner, just flush the system, replace the t-stat and cap. When changing it make sure you fill the system completely. You will need to let it idle or drive it for a short while to get the T-stat to open, be very careful and use a large towel to take the cap off the radiator, let the steam escape buy not taking the cap completely off, once all the steam is vented. (turn off Jeep before doing this.) Also when changing the T-stat it is very easy to break the thermostat housing (Call the Jeep dealer I am sure they have at least one in stock). Make sure the thermostat is seated in the block before you tighten down the housing. Next, and try this first actually, I can assume that you most likely ran the poor thing thru gobs of mud. The radiator and the A/C condenser (if you have A/C) are most likely full of mud, not letting the radiator do its job. From the fan side of the radiator, while the Jeep cool, use the garden hose and flush the fins on the radiator. Flush the fins from the fan side outwards towards the grill. Will be surprised on how much dirt comes out of it. Next check the fan (Jeep not running ! Than change the antifreeze. as above. Let us know what is happening. As for the shaking and ticking or banging noise, it could be over heating, and that is why you are getting the bubbling noise, and than the rough running. After all this, even if you don't need it change the oil and use a good oil rated for the Volkswagen or Beamer. hope this helps a little. Good luck youngester!

), if it spins freely, really freely, you may need a new clutch assembly for the fan.
