Has anyone here ever done this ... so known someone who did it?? Since I'm about to wipe the proverbial slate clean, I'm trying to lay out some game plans. I have the 351W in the shop that I can drop in... but with the cost of gas & all the EXPENSIVE adapter kits and new rear end and everything I would need.. I'm thinking that route is not the best. Plus putting a big heavy engine in there would negate the positives in having a light weight 2.5L . I'm just looking for a littel more speed on the highway.. it would be nice to not have to rack out the rpms at the bottom of a hill, just so I can crest the top hopefully at no less than 5mph UNDER the speed limit. Comments? Suggestions? Directions? Anyway school has just started, so the Jeep wont get touched for a while yet. Gotta get comfortable in class so I can make some extra time to start the tear down. Thanks!! |

Find a 4.0, and use the rods and crank from a 258 to stroke it. Golen sells a stroker motor, or the kit to do it yourself, I believe.
