Has anyone's check engine light come on due to moisture in the cab? Lately it has been raining everyday and I'm riding around without my doors. The rain is deffinately entering the cab and dash area. I have brought it to the attention to my mechanic that has the computer to attach it to my jeep. He said it was moisture. I want to make sure it is something that is common or if I need to look into this deeper.

Thanks

the check engine light is definately not useless.. what i would do is, when the light goes on, go to your local auto zone ( they do it for free) and have them give you the proper read-out... Cause "moisture" isnt what the read out would tell you. it could tell you something like a spacific sensor is malfunctioning, which could be caused by moisture, but atleast you will know what is actually malfunctioning and causing the light to go on.. Once you know the actually part that is causing the issue, you can solve the problem from there..

WAY TA GO!!! I've got my door switches ripped out (will put a kill switch in sometime when I find that damn 'round tuit' I've been lookin' fer). I didn't have the seatbelt dinger... the first guy musta yanked it out! Have to admit tho... I do have the handheld computer thangie that turns the engine light off... bulb is still in thar, I think!)
