does anyone know if a 318 will bolt to my automatic transmission in my 90 yj ? i want to do a v8 swap but would like to use my tranny if a mopar 318 will fit it.

I swear I won't spend any more money on the Jeep....Crap. I just bought something.

Im putong in a 318 out of my van in 7 years or so.Havent do much reasurch with so much time till then but some of the Grand Cherokee Laredo have 318 and so do some durangos Im going to be looking at the trans in theese to see if thy will boult up and not be to much of a stretch.Hook me up if you get any good info.  Thanks Man JEEP ON

Is it time for fun in the mud?

Hello there i am trying to do the same thing i have the motor already bored out and blasted ready to be put together and dropped in. i have not yet had the time to find out if the stock tranny will bolt right up. but i have looked around to see if there is a adapter bell housing and cant find one witch tells me that either you cant do it and or that you wouldnt need one. please let me know if you hear or find anything out and i will try to find out within the week if you can do it. hope i some what of helped.
