okay so i want to lift my jeep but i want to keep the stock rims. the tires would be skinny looking and wouldnt match the looks of a lifted cherokee. a friend of mine told me to get the rims extended or sumthin. is there such a thing or such a way?

Stock rims are probably 15x6, 30x9.5 tires should fit no problem. A 31x10.5 would fit, but tire shops may not do that since the "books" say you need a 7" rim for that.  A lot depends on hgow much you're gonna lift it and what size tire you plan on running.

Your friend is probably talking about wheel spacers to widen the track width without getting new offset wheels.

12.50 on a stock rim? I don't think so. But that size tires on some 15x8 or 15x10 are the common tire combos. And these rims give you the backspacing for these tires. You can get spacers to put your stock rims out so they are in line with your fender flares or even out some if you wanted. I'm running 6 1/2" lift on some 33x9.50 and I've been impreesed with my pizza cutters. I like the fact that they do not stick out past my fenders so my smaller width has come into play a few times to get me through some tight spots. But I will be running 35x12.50 before to long.
