If you want a weekend event there is a 6,000 acre offroad park/campground that is open only during weekend events... Free to join but the events cost money... their website is www.bigdogsoffroad.com check them out they are located in Winchester, VA

Their is also Shoe Creek aka Crabtree Falls. Also Big Levels if their still open. and not far from Va in N.C is Uwharrie National Forrest.

Are you near Geo.Washington Nat. Forest? Don't know of any actual trails but I have a little shortcut from WV to VA there on the forest roads. It's just north of Harrisburg, near a ski resort. There's nothing in WV to visit (I'm from OH... it's a shortcut to the slopes for me.)
