so im interested in bio fuel but im not interested in small disel cars... yep i want to put a disel engine in a wrangler body. what i dont know is if there is a disel engine that will fit into may be a early 90s wrangler body..

any info welcome :D

it will be a custom install, I doubt you'll find any aftermarket support here.  A Cummins 4bt would fit, but its heavy.  How about a Volkswagen TDI?  GM used a little Isuzu engine for their small diesels in the 70s and 80s, I'm not sure if they make enough power.  A Mercedes 5 or 6 cylinder engine might fit, but they are pretty gutless, I wouldnt bother trying one of those.  A Liberty CRD would be a good swap, but good luck finding a used one.  Did I just read in Jp mag that you can buy a new crate CRD from mopar?

go to pirate4x4.com and look in the hardcore jeep section you'll find quite a few buildups of diesel jeeps using the mentioned above egnines.

they are putting diesel engines in the new British military jeeps.. maybe you can get your hand on one of those..
