My 1993 GC Limited has a bigger motor in it, a 5.9 360 out of a Dodge Ram, rather than the stock 5.2 318 that was originally in it. The engine does not stay cool enough in hot weather, and I can't run the AC. We added an electric fan, but it is still not enough. I hear an aluminum radiator is the way to go. I'm just kinda scared I'll get the wrong thing! Has anyone here had this problem, and replaced the radiator? Thanks |

What kinda fan did you put on it?? Have you looked at getting a fan that moves more air (cfm's)?? theres tons of options best that I've found was a junkyard fan off a taurus with a 3.8 |

Where did you get your radiator? I am trying to find someone locally to at least help me order the right one, but haven't yet. May have to go online. Someone told my hubby they are getting harder to find, I hope that's not true, I saw quite a few online last year! I just hate ordering when I don't know for sure!

.... I've read that there was other types of radiators that dissapate heat better than aluminum, I don't remember exactly what they were..,. thinkin brass, copper maybe, now I'm just talkin outta my @ss though cause I can't remember.... But with all that aside I'm going with an aluminum radiator for mine, not due to having a larger motor, but rather due to my suspension setup and not wanting to K.O. my radiator with the top of my axle, I ended up going with a quite smallish dragster radiator, I called the ppl that manufactured it and talked with tthem about it, they said that'd be fine for cooling it, if you can't find anyone that can answer what your question, you could always call the ppl that make the rad that your looking at and ask them about it I'm sure they can answer all of your ??'s
