When I upgraded the stock Goodyear Wrangler STs that came on my X I went with 265/75R16 General Grabber AT2s on the stock 16" steel rims.

The 265s are doing great, they fill out the wheel wells really well, and perform very well on and off road, so no complaints. I'm not yet running a lift and have no rubbing issues or clearance problems. I've heard of people going as high as 285/75R16 on the stock rims with no lift, and not having any problems.

I just put 35x12.5x18 pro comp xtreme AT under a 4 inch pro comp lift and teraflex upper and lower control arms front and rear. I had to add a 1 inch wheel spacer to keep from rubbing on full turns but it rides smooth!!!
