Yes 2" Daystar Works well so far, from what i have read any more lift will cause problems with struts and bushings. I am able to run 30" tires but i had to bend back the pinch weld at the back of the wheel well. And in the from you can trim the back of the front bumper and move the wheel well liner forward. If you do this it = no rubbing. I can send pictures of the work i have done to my wheel wells if u need. --------------------------------------------------------------
do it in the dirt. |

i have the Frankenlift for about 4". Just put on new 265/75/16" Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers on Soft 8's. The tires are 31.7" high. I had to take the KJ to a 4X4 shop and do a little cutting and welding but it was worth it. At the bottom of the wheel well there is about 2" of dead space behind the metal. What we did was just move the metal back some, cut some pieces of metal to fill in and weld it all up. Then grind it all down smooth. It looks and feels like the KJ was made that way. The plastic wheel well liners have been long discarded. With the lift and tires I set about 5" to 6" higher than when I was stock. Side benefit...it rides better than when stock. The lift was heavy duty all around. The CV's are fine. Terry

OMG that truck is beautiful, I know it cost you a good chunk of money, but my 2 cents say it's worth it, well done.

Thanks! It looks a little different now. I changed the basket lights to Hella 500's and finally got my "sliders" to protect the rocker panels. I have my steel bumper and winch to go on after Thanksgiving also. Terry --------------------------------------------------------------
