Hi spf150 !

Do you ever see any other FSJ guys here? I have some pics posted at FSJ World too....check them out....it is one of the only features that still work at that site.

(It takes time to load, like 20-30 seconds)

I have been lurking around ISFJ for the last few days looking for good info on the lift "issue" that I have posted.  Seems to be some good people there, but I have never been to FSJ World...I may check it out.

Oh coooool. Did you guys ever get any more info on the lift kit from Tom over at "Hell Creek"? I swear I am about to just cut off all my spring mounts and bolt/weld some on from a newer Chevy. The spring options then would be  E N D L E S S!  What other Jeep site do you normally play around in?

Lift questions ?   I just did a TTFabworks SOA and shackle flip on my 82 Waggy.   I just cant go back to 6" arches anymore.   Great ride,  super flex,  great handling and it cost much less than a Hell Creek or BJs lift.

At the same time I did a 3/4 ton Chevy brake upgrade and a crossover steering set up.    Just had custom bumpers made,  the rear, swing away tire carrier, bumper, hitch, D-ring set up was only $400,  much cheaper than elsewhere and I have converted the ignition system to HEI for much better performance and even a little better milage too !

I have write ups or am working on write ups on most of this stuff on PDF.

Hi Steelponycowboy,

They don’t make the SOA kit or shackle flip kit for our older Wagoneer’s. I’m not sure about the newer rigs (’76-up) but the older Wagoneer’s already have the rear springs SOA from the factory but the fronts are sprung under (weird). “Hellcreek” is one of the VERY few companies that makes springs for the older FSJ’s. Since we don't have many options, this is where the harvesting of newer FSJ or Chevy shackle mounts/springs come into play. This way we can open up our shackle and spring options. If I remember right the springs are shorter on the older rigs, making it ride harder when they are arched too much. Plus they don't artculate too well when this short.

I'd love to see the write ups on that! I've heard this a couple of times and I'd love to do this on my 84 GW. I was thinking of ways to fit 35" tires on but that would mean scraping the 4" lift and buying the 6".... or do this SOA / Shackle flip.

When I installed my 4" lift I remember thinking " why the hell are the rear shackles upside down? I'll bet you can get at least 3 or 4 more inches of lift flipping them" But thats the last I thought of it until now.

Hopefully your write up will include lots of pics!
