I want to get another set of lights and mount them high out of danger. I was thinking of buying windshield hinge mounts and mount them there. What I am asking is how do you have your wiring routed? If you could include a picture that would help a lot.

Take at look at my set up. I used KC's windshield bracket mount and installed PIAA 4" pencilbeam lights. The small light doesn't crowd tight trails and the beam goes out 50-60', bright as day. The shop wired all the upper lights through the back hood line and up the passenger side windshield. If you can't see it let me know and I'll post a close up photo.

i think its KC... anyway someone came out with that gawdy looking piece of metal to "block" the light off your hood.... ... I think if you put driving lights on the hood your fine... the fogs widespread beam causes the glare off the hood.....

I find that they are actually in the way on tight trails. I've whacked more than my share of branches. I don't have any problems with the glare off the hood. I don't have any pics, but I routed the wires under the cowl and through the firewall.

I've never tired that, but I've heard the lights mounted on the windshield hinge just light up the hood and are super annoying/blinding.
