I have found a Jeep to sacrifice to get mine running. I will be trading my 78 Chevy LUV to get a 72 CJ5. I will be using the 304, 3 speed tranny and transfer case to put in my 75 CJ5. I should be able to use everything and just change it over from one Jeep to the other.

This will be the first time I have taken on a job this big in the automotive world. Anyone have any tips or anything that would help me out on this big job? I plan on taking the fenders, hood, grill, and windshield off, to make sure nothing is in my way. Hopefully all goes as planned and I have myself a running Jeep before Christmas.

sound like a good plan.  Take the opportunity to clean/paint your CJ up, while the engine/drivetrain are out of the way.  I painted my firewall silver, the theory was so I would spot any oil leaks.  I'm not sure that worked out, but I do like the light color.  On the electrical side, go ahead and get a new engine-frame grounding strap.  Replace all the engine/tranny mounts with new rubber or poly.  I would replace all the rubber hoses, maybe even the belt(s), and perhaps the water pump since you'll be using new coolant.  Take a look at your radiator, get it cleaned if its nasty.
