This is a dumb blog, I know. But I was just looking at some video's on the internet about some Policemen. Yet, they were called cops. Saw another COP video as the Policemen were called COP's. Does'nt COP come from Civilians On Patrol? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe we can all add some things that will enlighten the rest of us. Such as JEEP. I've read it comes from GPV, or General Purpose Vehicle. Or GP = Jeep for short. And I've heard the others also on where Jeep comes from. SPAM = Specially Processed American Meats. Which was delivered over seas during WWII if I'm not mistaken. Or Guy which comes from GI during WWII. Think this will be a good learning experience.
