Trust is everything….      We spend our whole lives looking for the right person.  When we find them, we hope we can trust them.  Trust that they are loyal.  That we do not have to worry what they are doing when we are apart from them or who they might be doing it with.  Knowing that they are yours… and only yours.

Trust that they will stay with you, for better or worst… For richer or poorer.  Until death do you both part.  Hoping they never become bored with you and leave you for greener pastures on the other side of the fence.  Trusting they will be there if you become ill or hurt.  That they will be at your side during times of grief.  And, are a shoulder you can cry on when needed.

Trust them with the little things in life.  Giving you messages…  Helping with life’s little needs…  Trusting them to remind you of a task or appointment that needs to be done.  Someone to remind you to take your umbrella on a rainy day or pay a bill when it’s due.

Trust them with our material things.  That they will be responsible with our collections and our money.  That they will not take from us, what we have worked so hard to gain.  Trust that if they need something, they will come to us and ask… for they surely know, they can trust us as well.

Trust them to be honest.  For lies are the root of all evil and the demise of all that is good.  That if they are asked a question, an honest answer will be sure to follow, no matter how hard that answer might be.  That they will admit when they are wrong and when they have done wrong.  Because only respect can follow an honest answer no matter how bad the situation is.

Trust that they are forgiving.  For when we do wrong, it is only human.  Mistakes are made.  No one is perfect, no matter how “perfect”  we might “think”  we are.  If we can’t forgive, we can not go on living because it will eat at us until the day we die.

Trust they know right from wrong.  That manners are still fashionable and there is still something known as tact and common courtesy.  Trust that they will be respectful of others as well as themselves.  Trust they will follow-though with what they say and are asked to do.

Trust that they will be our friends.  That if we find love, it is a wonderful emotion to have.   But when the years creep-up on us and the passion fades, we know we have a friend to fall back on.  Someone who knows our “likes” and “dislikes”.  Someone to have fun with.  Someone who is not judgmental.  A friend who will not laugh at us when we are having a bad hair day or feeling fat.  Friends lift our sprits when we are down.  Laugh with us… never at us.  We trust our friends with our secrets.   Knowing that the knowledge they share will not be given to others.

Trust them with the little things…  That they will be there each morning when we wake and enjoy the comfort of their smiling face.  The touch of their hand.  Trust that when you look in their eyes, you see the sparkle in them.  You see just how much they care in their reflection back.  Someone to be excited about our triumphs.  To share in our joys.

&n bsp;   Trust will last and last if deserved….  Long after the color fades from one’s hair.  Long after the smoothness of one’s skin turns to ridges.  Long after the hands are no longer steady.  Trust is given, as well as... received.  Trust.

I wish I'd had a copy of this 3 months ago for my ex. even though I tried to explain that honesty and trust had a connection, he still never got it. Oh well, live and learn. Thank You for the reminder of life's lessons learned.
