anybody with an older jeep that has the top spreader bars mounted up top, may want to try this. i got tired of the spreaders poking holes in my top, so i bought a length of 1/2" inside diameter foam pipe insulation. i cut it to length and fit it over the spreaders, it keeps the edges of the bend joint from wearing on the top. after driving from work, i noticed that the top wasn't slapping as much, so i took the remaining peice and cut it in half, then slid it onto the rear uprite bars (about 2 inches up from the fender box). now my top doesn't slap at all. this is a REAL cheap fix, it only cost me $1.03  now, i'll try to load the pix...........

i don't know if this format accepts photobucket

i can't get the pictures to load here, i have them on my page in the photos, if you wanna see them.

When I had a Bestop, mine aleady had this foam on it, I thought it was part of the kit, maybe the PO installed it.
