365 days ago to the day I was in an car accident that should have killed me......and it was my fault. 

I am asking each and every one of you to take a second and think about the effects of Drinking and Driving.  If you go out for a night on the town or just to a back yard b-b-q, and you have even a few, please designate a driver.  I only had a few...but that coupled with not enough sleep the night before and working long hours that week.....should have killed this rookie Jeeper.

I rolled my truck 5 times and was trapped, hanging up side down for over an hour before I was even "found", bleeding from a 5 in gash in the back of my head (that acutally etched a line in my skull...cool huh), with a broken vertebrea at C4...then a 30 min extrication to get me out....to the ER...then on a Life Flight heli to another ER up state.

Don't do it.....I ask you and beg you.  Ask some one to be a designated Driver....or be one for some one else.  You could save a life, and it could be your own.

8 years as a volunteer Fire Fighter....and the easiest life I could have saved was mine.  I knew better but did it anyway.  Don't be Me.  The look in my wifes eyes when she came to the ER was enough for me....I woudn't want any of your special someones to go through the same.

This is me, getting off my soap box.  Stay safe and be smart.
