So, we have just returned from the Mud Raptor's maiden mud voyage.  We bought her on Monday and saddly it took us till Saturday to get her out on the trails.

 Mud Raptor is what my seven year old son named my 97 TJ.  He wanted to be able to pick the name and once we got her he just blurted it out.  It is fitting since she will see quite a bit of mud if I have anything to say about it. 

So we headed out late this evening and my son was sitting next to me all excited in his "old clothes" ready for the mud.  We had the windows open, but didn't take the time to take the top off.  We went out some new trails and found us some decent mud (would have liked more though) and crawled over some medium spots.  We are 3/4 of the way done and my son looks at me and asks why he is still clean.  Looking into his disappointed face I blatantly blamed Daddy for not finding the right mud...lol...Hey he was leading.

Anyway...everything went well and we didn't break anything which is a good thing.  Believe me I was worried about blowing the engine...the poor girl is running with 245,000+ miles on her.  She is a tough girl and we intend to make her even tougher.  We are getting new wheels on Monday so I am going to be selling the ones on her now which I believe are center-line or something like that.  They are nice, but not what I want. 

So, life is good and we had fun is the moral of the story!!!
