Subject: Aftermarket Fuel pump
Content: OK, so the fuel pump went out on my wife's 03' Liberty. It will cost
$205 (AutoZone price) to replace it. I already replace the fuel filter
(29.99 also at AutoZone). Well, I've been researching this idea for a
few days now. But it sounds to good to be true. I came across a write
up of a Grand Cherokee owner replaced his with an after market fuel
pump. Two benefits: no need to drop the tank anymore and the pump costs
about $100 less than the stock fuel pump. (99.99 for and MSD Fuel Pump
or 79.99 for a JEGS fuel pump). My questions are would I need to
install a fuel pressure regulator with this or would the stock
regulator be sufficient? Also, does it sound like this set up would
even work? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated
