(How To's)...Build a rear High Pinion D44,(in a less-nontechnical short term). Used a front HP44 out of a 70's ford F150 or F250. Dissemble the rotors, wheel bearings, the 2 axles, everything except the differential case. Then cut off the original axle tubes. Find (if U can) 1968 Wagoneer rear D44. Cut and weld the 68' axle tubes on to the HP44 diff. You also use the axles, hubs, bearings, and seals etc. that came out of the wagoneer. This works great for one of many reasons because you can still use a 5x5.5 wheel bolt pattern. My measurement between the brake-backing plate to plate is 46.5". Must use a reversed -cut ring & pinion gears.(if you dont; you will be going backwards). Now I have heard so much pro's and con's from people about the way this rearend is set up; but I do know for fact in my particular set up or situation its perfect. You only lose about 5% to 7.5% strength on the ring & pinion...-(Now like I was saying before, there is awhole lot more to this then just cuttin' and weldin' stuff together)

...(coming soon)

The Norm...Im a big time hunter for deer and elk. I enjoy all types of fishing, especialy steelhead and salmon. Camping, going for a drive to the Pacific Ocean or to the logging roads around Mt.St.Helens. In my previous line of work I used to work in local paint and body shops, then decided that I rather do that as a hobbie instead of work...so recently, I completely restored an all original 1938 GMC 1 1/2 ton truck;(pics in gallery)...And of course the other hobbies are going jeepin or workin on my jeep...ohh and also mostly, pretenting to know what Im doing..HaHa

Just an ordanary average guy who likes his jeeps, the Great Pacific Northwest Outdoors, and livin the life.

One Gnarley Cheveep: Its a '76 CJ5 which I have owned since 2003. Since then I have completely dissembled it down to the frame, fixed all the body work and painted it myself in my grandpas barn. I made a paint spray booth out of 12mil. clear plastic, and 2x4's. The PPG base coat color is a custom mixed 2000 Toyota Royal Sapphire Blue Metallic with the Duponts' Crystal Blue Pearl added into it. Topped the color off with 5 coats of PPG's 2021 clear coat. The engine was rebuilt which is a '69 Corvette 327ci, 375HP;.30 over; and has original matching 2.02 heads. I'm using a 400AT with a B&M ratchet shifter and behind that is a Dana model 20 transfercase. I custom built a high pinion Dana44 rearend, and in the front is a model30 with 44 axles. 4.10 gears, 35" BFG's. It has leafspring over axle suspension and reversed shackle mounted frontend. The whole frame has been boxed in(welded). All motor, tranny, transfercase crossmembers etc. are all custom fab'd out from stainless steel stock, along with the bumpers, all exterior trim, and fender flares. The (hard) top was custom made to look like a soft top. Used 2 sheets of 1/16" Aluminum paneling pressed together, rolled, pinched, bent, curved, and whatever else to give it that soft look. Oh of course, the custom roll cage was built to carry a house...

...(coming soon)...For my wish list I would like to restore a 50's Willys wagon someday...
