hmmm... currently sporting little bitty 33" tires... they look silly, but I've spent my entire Jeep budget for the year. My oldest son gave me a set of Military HUMVEE wheels and tires for christmas! 36-12-16.5 Goodyear Wrangler R/T II Military OZ on two piece wheels - with runflats! I can't wait for spring to mount them! Jeep CJ's and Fender Guitars, who has time for anything else?

I'm 45 years old, married, with 4 kids (15, 17, 19 and 23 years old).
After a 5 year hiatus while my poor CJ5 sat in the driveway, I re-kindled my love affair with Jeeps. My first Jeep was a 1981 Jeep CJ5 4 cylinder 4 speed. Over the years, it gained a 350 Chevy with 4 bolt main from a 1974 Chevy Van and T-18 transmission from a Ford Pickup. Eventually the floor rotted away and the old CJ had to be parked. It sat in the driveway for 5 years before the new Jeep project took place. Parts and pieces of it still exist in my new Jeep. Jeep CJ7. I was spending too much time playing Everquest and World of Warcraft. In order to get me out from behind the computer and actually doing something constructive, my banker/wife approved the finances to rebuild my CJ5. That project quickly took a left turn and became a frame up build of a CJ7. It took a little over a year to complete. A 1979 frame and stock narrow track axles were purchased for $150. The frame and axles were wheeled down with a right angle grinder and a variety of wire wheels and sanding discs, then painted with Rustoleum primer and gloss black. Next came a 1994 YJ tub for $400. New fiberglass fenders, steel windshield frame and tailgate were purchased from 4WD Hardware. The 350 Chevy from my CJ5 was rebuilt. The block was line bored, a steel crank and balanced rods are connected to TRW dometop pistons and 75cc heads. Everything up top is Edelbrock, including the cam, dual plane intake manifold and 750 cfm Performer carb. The paint is a bc/cc PPG Orangeblast Pearlcoat. The interior of the tub is Herculiner, which I sprayed with a Harbor Freight texture gun instead of rolling it on. Lots of Jeeps around my house :)
2002 Jeep Cherokee - my daughter's Jeep, she won't let me play with :(
1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee - my son's Jeep. He's begging me to help him install a lift
1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee - my son's fiance. It needs a new front axle, 3.54 gears. Any donors?
Tire Carrier Rear Bumper - having any bumper at all is probably a good thing, right? VIEWING 1 - 10 OUT OF 20 COMMENTS
